The 400kA large pre baked anode aluminum reduction cell technology has passed the national scientific and technological achievement appraisal in Lanzhou. This achievement is jointly completed by Chalco Shenyang Aluminum and Magnesium Design and Research Institute and Lanzhou Branch of Aluminum Corporation of China. The project is advanced in design. The overall technology has reached the international advanced level and can be popularized and applied at home and abroad.
The 400kA electrolyzer designed by Chalco Shenyang Aluminum and Magnesium Design and Research Institute has achieved a current intensity of 403ka and an anode current density of 0.82a/cm2 after 10 months of operation. All technical indexes are advanced and the test is successful. Compared with the existing electrolyzers, the electrolyzer with this new technology has the advantages of low investment, large capacity and high economic benefits. The annual aluminum production of a single cell can be increased by more than 100 tons, which is conducive to improving gas collection efficiency and environment. Due to the comprehensive control and standardized operation system of electrolytic cell, the balance and material balance of electrolytic cell are effectively controlled. A set of stable and safe roasting technology for large-scale electrolytic cell is developed, and a set of production operation management technology matching with large-scale electrolytic cell is formed, which lays a solid foundation for the large-scale modernization of China's electrolytic aluminum industry and the improvement of international competitiveness Solid foundation.
